New bank in Estonia – Liisi becomes Holm Bank

New bank in Estonia – Liisi becomes Holm Bank

Today, the domestically-owned Holm Bank, whose predecessor is Koduliising AS offering Liisi hire-purchase, was issued an authorisation of credit institution.

Koduliising is a company established by Arne Veske, an entrepreneur from Haapsalu. ‘We have been in business in Haapsalu for 23 years and have covered the entire Estonia. We have 1,100 partners with more than 2,000 points of sale. We are grateful to them for our previous cooperation and from now on, we will offer even better possibilities. A big thank you to all our 350,000 customers. There will be many new things for you,’ said Veske, the owner of Holm Bank AS.

‘Holm Bank AS is a family business. Arne Veske has been running it for a long time. From 2012, my sister, Kelly Veske, was responsible for the development. Family-centredness enables implementing a steadier and longer-term strategic plan,’ said Kaido Veske, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the bank.

Today, the new bank is managed by Indrek Julge, who has nearly 20 years of experience in banking. ‘The bank will continue offering the products that have become popular under the Liisi trademark. First of all, these are hire-purchase, consumer loan, and credit card. As a new product, we will launch deposits and several solutions for small enterprises,’ Julge added.

Holm is the first financial institution in Estonia, the authorisation of which was issued by the European Central Bank. The possibility to take deposits helps the company to fulfil its growth plans faster. The high technological level of Estonian banking provides the new bank with good prospects for expanding into other European countries.
