Holm Bank appoints Kaspar Kalvet as their new CEO

Kaspar Kalvet, who until now headed LHV's financial risk department, will start working as the new CEO of a domestic capital based Holm Bank. Kalvet has an extensive work experience in the financial field: previously employed as the Head of Estonian unit of Citadele Bank and for a long time in various responsible positions in large international banks in Italy and Germany.

Kalvet says he was inspired to join Holm based on the bold innovations the company has adopted in the recent years and its team’s obvious dedication to the bank’s goal of supporting their private and business clients realise their plans.

“Customers need a financial partner that can adapt its terms to their capabilities and needs,” he said. “How flexibly Holm's relatively compact team has been able to serve their customers is extremely likable in my eyes. With such a team, it is encouraging to take on new promising projects," confirmed Kalvet. According to Kalvet, Holm has become a well-known player in the Estonian banking scene. The company's customer base and range of services have expanded both in Estonia and Latvia. The number of customers has increased year by year, and the bank has gained recognition both in the loan sector and as a provider of term deposits with very good conditions. In addition to its home market, the bank also manages the savings of clients from Austria and Germany. Holm has vigorously expanded their value proposition for business customers and the bank's capitalization reached such a strong level this summer that the bank has now started issuing home loans.

Kalvet will be assuming the post of CEO in early November, taking over from Rauno Klettenberg, who has been leading the company since the summer of 2019. Koduliising AS, previously known for Liisi hire purchase brand, became officially Holm Bank AS in the spring of 2019 when they were granted a banking license by the European Central Bank. Klettenberg says the bank has reached a point where it needs to start setting itself ambitious new goals. “It feels right that I should give someone new the chance to develop and implement that strategy,” he said. “Holm is being led by a very strong, very dedicated and 100% united team who will support Kaspar in taking the bank to reach new heights on their home market and internationally.” Holm Bank AS is a bank based on Estonian capital with an operating licence issued by the European Central Bank. It operates under both the Liisi and Holm trademarks. Their services include term deposits, physical and virtual credit cards, private and business customer financing and hire purchase. The bank also offers term deposits in Germany and Austria via the Raisin platform and is the owner of Holm Bank Latvia SIA, which operates as a financial services provider in Latvia.
